Effective decision-making

Description

Learn how to improve your ability to recognize (and avoid!) predictable decision traps.

This course is fundamental to recognize (and avoid!) predictable decision traps, such as the confirmation bias, the sunk cost bias, the outcome bias, base-rate neglect, and many more.

This course focuses on the psychology of decision-making.

  • Nonverbal communication

How does our mind work when making decisions? What are the common pitfalls of decision-making? Should we listen to our intuition? How are we affected by emotions? Are we always aware of what’s in front of us? This course is essentially about how we think and decide.

Our main working assumption is that decision-making prowess is a skill that can be learned.

Influencing training learning objectives:

Recognize predictable decision traps and thus avoid serious mistakes.

Awareness of your own decision style and tendencies.

Capacity to reflect on and learn from your past decisions.

Ability to look mindfully at the decision problems you face and thus become more flexible in your decision making.

Perception to better understand and anticipate the decision of others.
