Our History

Our founder, Giuseppe Conti, became a corporate trainer at Procter & Gamble in 1998, in parallel with his Procurement career. In 2005, he started teaching in the field of negotiation at the leading Business Schools in Europe (including 10 of the top 12 European Business Schools), while continuing to negotiate real-life deals with blue-chip multinationals.

In 2013, Conti Advanced Business Learning (CABL) was created to also serve corporate clientele, and CABL quickly experienced spectacular growth. Based in Switzerland, leaders from multinational corporations and individuals from over 110 different countries have attended Giuseppe’s workshops on four different continents.

In 2019, Giuseppe became a Professor and is now working with leading Business School Professors, in particular with Oxford Professor Owen Darbishire, and highly experienced professionals to deliver on his passion for “real-life negotiation training that gets results”.

Giuseppe Conti

Giuseppe Conti is the founder of CABL (www.cabl.ch) , a firm that offers a range of customized training in the field of negotiation and influencing.

Since 2005, Giuseppe has been an award-winning Lecturer, recognized for his lively and interactive training workshops across a number of the leading business schools in Europe: Cambridge, EPFL, ESADE, HEC Lausanne, HEC Paris, IESE, IMD, Imperial College, INSEAD, London Business School, Oxford, RSM, SDA Bocconi, UBIS, University of Geneva and University of St Gallen (Switzerland & Asia).

More recently, he has become a Professor in Negotiation & Influencing. Giuseppe regularly runs workshops in four continents. To date, corporate leaders from multinational corporations and individuals from over 110 different countries have attended his workshops.

Giuseppe is an accomplished negotiator and integrates into his training over 25 years of executive-level experience at Blue Chip corporations (Procter & Gamble, Novartis, Firmenich, Merck).

His recent research and articles have focused on negotiating with no alternatives, influencing in healthcare, gender differences in negotiation, managing internal and external negotiations, dealing with difficult people, and negotiating in long-term business relationships.


Owen Darbishire

Academic Director of the Oxford Programme on Negotiation at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and Fellow of Pembroke College, Owen Darbishire is an expert on High Performance Leadership, while his most recent research has included the Brexit negotiations.

His expertise is also in decision making and influence, examining these issues at individual, group and organisational levels.

Owen leads the most popular and highly rated MBA and EMBA electives in Negotiations at Oxford, while also advising companies at board level in negotiations and decision making.

He has received lecturing awards at both Oxford and St Gallen.

Ifti Ahmed

Ifti Ahmed has over 25 years experience in pharmaceuticals and devices with 13 years in Sales, 10 years in Marketing with extensive international experience (>12years) including emerging markets.

He has worked for Glaxo, Pfizer, Novartis, UCB, Medtronic, and Merck Serono in a range of sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility.

Ifti’s last corporate role was Head of the Merck Serono’s Sales Academy based in Switzerland. He is a managing partner of Titanium Solutions, a behavioural skills development company focusing on Sales and Marketing training in the healthcare industry.

Ifti is an ASTD certified Master Trainer and a certified facilitator from the Master trainers Institute.
